We’re on a mission to help women make the most of their magnificent midlife and to change society’s outdated narrative of what it means to be a peri and post-menopausal woman now. Through our successful weekly podcast and our highly engaged social media community, we celebrate the highs, and triumph over the lows, offering invaluable support and advice from our network of experts and warm, witty celebrity friends. As journalists and former glossy magazine editors we are proud to have built a loyal, lively and engaged community of brilliant women around us who are here to help you. We’ve put everything we’ve learnt at home and work into practise to offer comforting guidance on all the issues midlife women face: from health and HRT to fashion, beauty, wellbeing, parenting and relationships. Listeners to our chart topping show have downloaded more than a million episodes while the thousands of members in our private Facebook Group regularly pick up the conversations featured to discuss in personal detail. We’re here to give midlife women a new voice and to empower them to share their wisdom so we can all enjoy a happy, healthy and spirited second act.
Love Lorraine & Trish x
Lorraine Candy and Trish Halpin have more than 30-years’ experience editing women’s glossies between them, including Cosmopolitan, Red, Elle, Marie Claire, InStyle & Sunday Times Style. In January 2020 they launched Postcards from Midlife aimed at Generation X women aged 40-55(ish). Putting to use their many years of journalistic experience, Lorraine and Trish offer advice on how to deal with everything life throws at you just as your hormones are going into meltdown thanks to peri-menopause. From living with angst-ridden teens, to looking after ageing parents and maintaining a career, while still trying to find the energy to have a sex life.
Trish and Lorraine’s friendship is at the heart of the show - their warmth and humour combined with journalistic rigour is proving a winning combination with listeners.
‘Lorraine and Trish are funny, smart and relatable. Love their banter. They cover everything mid-life women love and are interested in.’
